the first question which naturally raises is....who gave the permission for the builder to proceed with the 5-storey building and what the other GHMC officials were doing when the whole scam was taking place???
corruption is so rampant in india that it has become nearly omnipresent.and our bureaucratic system provide a perfect breeding ground for its sustenance.it is more widely present at the bottom level rather than at the top coz they are always under the vigilance of the corruption control mechanisms.the bottom remains in shadow and hence corrution thrives...
next question is obviously regarding our disaster management...why is it so poor in india???the related officials are not prepared, they neither possess the required xpertise nor the necessary equipment.since its inception, disaster management has been profoundly neglected. Is it the management of disaster or the disaster of management?.time and again disaster management mechanisms in India have been proved curative rather being preventive and in some cases it is far from even that!!!
the third question refers to the unorganized sector...why the unorganized sector remains unorganized even after scores of debates and discussions in economic and political circles???
there are no labor laws governing the sector.the social security element is hardly present, moreover, the escalating rural-urban migration aggravates the situation.stringent labour laws are the need of the hour!!
these kind of incidents do happen again and again...people react and forget..they have grown lethargic and are in deep slumber.they raise for irrational issues and go to the extent of self-immolation..but when these kind of developmental issues arise they remain passive..the system requires strong, rational and sincere people and faith lies in our country's youth.the situation can be bettered only if we think we can!!!
INDIA - the largest democratic country in the world, where Govt.. by the people.. for the people and of the people.
ReplyDeleteDont we see more of people those lines than govt. or govt officials/methods/management.
For every problem there is a solution and when the solution doesn't come to reality it means that there is a problem with the implementation... and the implementer is govt and everyone can blame it... but get deep into it.. its people who are the govt. and those are the very same people who COMPLAIN.
every builder.. every sweeper.. i want to claim .. even the observer needs to have one simple quality in them and that is RESPONSIBILITY & SELFLESSNESS, need not be for the nation or a patriotic kind.. but at least for the next immediate person.
For example.. if every individual can come forward and keep their premises around the house clean and make best use of the bin.. the cleaning department would have better and defined work.. to carry on the work.
if every individual can promise that he would not break the traffic rules.. it may not solve the traffic problem.. but the regulation becomes easy.
Its the attitude of the common man that is source of these problems.. the common man is selfish and wants to be happy with his family without caring even for the neighbour.. if he realizes that his country(his first home) needs the same kind of treatment that he gives to his selfish home and family.
Terrorism, Corruption, Poverty .. name anything and it can be solved with a simple but difficult change in mind of the common man... which I feel.. is the IMMEDIATE NEED.
Sorry deepika .. if i am polluting your blog.. my intension was to put idea for a solution to the problem you defined.
hey no need to say sorry....infact i m very happy that someone is critically reviewing my writings...ur criticism is always welcome...and wht u ve said is very true srikanth..its always easy to point the govt for every mistake..but wht v neglect 2 do is to face our own doings....thanx srikanth 4 ur wonderful insight!!!!
